Recognizing this simple truth the designers at Drop Zone have endeavored to come up with the ultimate in "universal" load bearing equipment systems.

The Modular Universal Load-bearing Equipment System (M.U.L.E.S.) consists of carriers and accessories. Carriers are items such as backpacks, vests and belts, while the accessories are pouches, pockets, and sheaths.

The "universality" in the system comes from the fact that almost 100 percent of the load bearing carriers can be used with different load bearing systems' accessories, and in many cases without any special adapters!

Many if not most of the M.U.L.E.S.™ accessories have belt loops, allowing them to be used with other load bearing carriers.

The Modular Universal Load-bearing Equipment System is specially designed for military, police, and rescue applications but it is finding steady acceptance amongst industrial users, such as foresters. M.U.L.E.S.™ is finding great acceptance with hardcore recreationalists also. Adventure racers and photographers have embraced the M.U.L.E.S.™ concept.

The heart of the M.U.L.E.S.™ system is the extensive use of bandoleers to which U.S. Army Alice Clips or heavy duty wire tie wraps (we call'em zap straps) can be slipped through to secure the accessories.

No longer do swat teams or search and rescue organizations have to order custom made load bearing gear for each team member just to suit different equipment needs. Just change the accessories to suit the needs of individual and his job.

Please keep in mind that just because we may designate a pouch a latex glove pouch doesn't mean that it can't work out as a key ring silencer, or a compass pocket. We publish the dimensions of the accessories so that you can make an informed selection.
